Hi, how are ya?

My name is Katie Irwin.  I can't really remember a time that I didn't love crafting.  I learned it from my Gramma when I was very young and it stuck.  My first crafty memory is staring at every spool of embroidery floss my Gramma had.  She kept it maticulously organized in plastic containers made for the task.  I loved staring at all of the colors!

Fast forward 25 years and here I am.  Still at it and emassing my own collections of crafty goodness.  We, in the hobby, call it a stash.  However, crafting can get quite expensive.  Like most hobbies, many people are out to make a buck on the latest and greatest tool, product, etc.  We all flock to the Joanns', Hobby Lobbys, and Michaels' of the world to grab up the new stuff.  But what about what we already have?  Or what about the creativity that we all have to make something new out of everything old?

I love new stuff as much as the next gal, but I think I may be able to make do on the cheap.  So here's a site dedicated to that very endevour...frugal crafting.
